TOPS INFORMATION 2009

ARIZONA's site for TOPs updates, test sites, dates, schedules and other TOPs related information.

During the summer, gymnasts are evaluated on physical abilities at the regional level. From the more than 3,000 participants, 300 gymnasts qualify to participate in the National TOPs testing. From here approximately 60 gymnasts will make up the TOPs National Team.  Former TOPs National Team members include 2004 Olympic All Around Champion, Carly Patterson, and 2004 Silver Team member Courtney Kupets. Those who qualify to the TOPS National Team will, once again, be invited to attend a training camp this December, and be coached by the USA Gymnastics National Team staff. 

TOP 2009 Testing Registration

Any TOP results submitted to USAG that have not gone through proper channels will NOT be tabulated!

Registration will close once test is full.

Registration will close one week prior to test date - No Late Entries

 
NO Athlete Personal Information, Coach Information, and Access to information forms needed as of 5/2008

NO Medical History forms needed as of 5/2006

There will be no parent viewing allowed at any of the AZ TOP Regional Testing Sites.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES NOTICE

Athlete Development Committee (ADC) April minutes. Contains change to the TOP Physical Abilities for 2009, effective immediately.

Revised TOP Physical Abilities tests manual is available. 

All changes are in RED

There will be some changes to the TOPs Skills tests for 2009. We hope to have these changes finalized and approved by the ADC by June or July so all the athletes will have time to prepare for National TOP Testing.
